I could not relate to anything that was mentioned (and I promise I’m not a hater). Interesting to see how we may have reached a point where talking about trends is kind of irrelevant because we all have our niches and personal interests and that in itself is the trend.
I honestly see skinny jeans coming back with boots. And then I see belle sleeves and puffy sleeves, coming back . In general, I think we’re gonna end up doing some kind of whimsical fashion since we’re in a depression and heading toward a recession.
i think one of the things we’ll probably see alot is incoherency and breaking codes of styling. maybe as a counter to nostalgia, following trends, following uniform/aesthetic/outfit codes. people will find their own personal style through maybe personal influences like lore proximity etc and the 2023 subway girl filming her ootd will be more relevant and talked abt.
Skinny jeans aren’t coming back YET, we are going to have low rise bootcut or flares coming first as a transition.
As celebrities transition from BBL baddie fashion, slim thicc etc and start going towards the super skinny heroin chic look, they are going to transition the clothes as well.
2000s Jessica Simpson jeans but updated is what I’m thinking, still showing off body but in more of a skinny curvy look before it goes outright skinny
