  1. Please remember to call it Lunar New Year, instead of Chinese New Year, because many Asian cultures celebrate the lunar new year, not just China.

  2. This a year of closing cycles. I can see people looking back at 2016 as a way of nostalgia, of what we were, and who we are now (hence the personal style “final stage” trend), where we incorporate things of the past now. Many Gen Z were teenagers in 2016, and now are full on adults, maybe finishing uni. It brings a retrospective in life and fashion. It can be represented in the teal, in 2016 it was really messy and questionable, and now is being stylized, it’s being fashionable because we know how to wear it now. We have learnt how to style clothes, and we perfected our personal sense and preferences. This is who we are and how we want the world to see us. (Sorry if there are any grammar mistakes, english is not my first language).

  3. I’m sorry but what accent is that, it’s very nice to listen to? English is not my native language and some accents sound more pleasant than others 😅

  4. Messy hair, bare nails, messy makeup, more accessories (pins, jewelry, etc) being a part fashion trend ideas for this year indicate a recession for sure. People can’t afford to get their hair or nails done, or afford makeup, so being able to be fun but not feel like they need to have ALL of it. Also layers, finding ways you reuse your own clothes in different ways. I already got that pajama trend to a tea, lol; love wearing p-jays to the store. I did feel out of place a lot bc many people wore real clothes, but eh, its fine.
