Y2K stands for the year 2000. This was the time when Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian were best friends, Justin and Britney were dating, the Beckhams were all over the news, Diddy was called Puff Daddy. And I was a teenager. The “influencers” of the time were Paris Hilton, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera – to just name three of them. This was long before the term “influencer” – we got our inspiration from magazines and MTV. In this video, I look behind the current Y2K trend and share what we really wore in the 2000s and how the trends are being interpreted today by the likes of Dua Lipa, Rhianna, Hailey Bieber or Bella Hadid.

nostalgia, looking back it was so funny how we dressed, i worshipped The Simple Life thus I also fell victim to the orange fake tan epidemic and everything pink, slutty micro shirts, bleached hair (ruined my hair and scalp for 10+ yeras), t-shirts with stupid slogans omg so funny to look back 😀
I was born in 09. For some reason this fashion is still HEAVILY engraved into me for some odd reason ( probably because I was an avid winx club watcher as a kid and some other reasons. ) and I LOVE this fashion style.
I was young in Y2K. When I see young people wearing these clothes today it makes me feel all warm inside.
